With volcanoes being so large and destructive, there are many parts/layers that make up the entire volcano itself. They consist of Craters, Dikes, Sills, Batholiths, and Calderas. They can have different kinds of eruptions which effect the damage or increase of pollution. You can have a quiet eruption, or a violent.

There are three main types of volcanoes that determine the certian kinds as of defining; they consist of a Shield Volcano: which is when lava spreads quietly, balsatic lava flows out through large cracks called fissures which creates a deposite of Igneous rock. This perticular type is a quite eruption. The second kind of volcano is a Cinder Cone Volcano: Highly explosive through lava and tephra, which then forms a steep sided, loosely packed cinder cone. The last type is a Composite Volcano: which is morely in the middle of both, it ranges from quite to voilent depending on the amount of gas and ash forming a bigger tephra layer. When it is quieter, it erupts only lava over tephra creating A Composite Volcano.
